Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Hom-I application and website ("Service") operated by Hom-I ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Hom-I, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and that you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Hom-I provides a family organisation platform including a shared calendar, to-do lists, meal planner, recipe book, and grocery list. Features may change over time; we will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

3. Account registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@hom-i.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You may not create accounts for others without their permission or share accounts across unrelated households.

4. Subscription and billing

Some features require a paid subscription ("Family plan"). By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users' accounts.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or abusive content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its availability.

6. Content and data

You retain ownership of all content you create in Hom-I. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content you create. We are not responsible for content created by users.

7. Third-party integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Kroger, etc.). Your use of those integrations is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hom-I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Colorado.

12. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
